HTDC Podcast – Episode 13 “Be Your Own Cheerleader”

by 08.03.2018

Making comics is hard work. One struggles to comprehend the hours, days, weeks, months and sometimes even years it would take to produce an entire book single handedly.

Yet somehow we do it. Because we know we’re the only ones who can. No one else can convey our vision to the world, it must be by our hands. You’ve got to be your own cheerleader – barracking for yourself until the game is won.

No matter how jazzed you are about jumping into your next project, eventually that excitement wanes. The sparkle in your eye fades. The novelty doesn’t last.

What will get you through each and every time though is unwavering discipline. Healthy habits that rig the system for success whether you’re in the mood to win or not.

Accomplishing something great asks for a hefty investment in return – in other words, you’ll work for your proudest achievements in life.

As you might have guessed, in Episode 13 of the HTDC Podcast Ric Bülow and I delve into this exact topic, sharing the techniques and tactics we use to push our productivity to the max and get things done.

I’ve done up some new, appropriately themed Album Art for this episode as well. She took a little longer than expected and has a different kind of vibe in comparison to my more sci-fi themed characters – but it was loads of fun to fashion together a new look, design and color scheme I don’t often venture into.
