The recent release of Image Comics and Howard Chaykin’s “The Divided States of Hysteria” has brought about a fair amount of controversy. The first issue has very graphic death and sex scenes, on top of mass murder and terrorism. It’s a dark picture that Chaykin paints, but it’s nothing Image hasn’t done before. Insert writers from Bleeding Cool, Comicosity, and The Mary Sue complaining about the content, plus the cover for the not yet released Issue 4.

In this video, I hope to take the critics to task over their ignorance of artistic expression, but also remind the creator who pays the bills.
