On October 28th, 2017 I arrowed this nice ol’ 10 point old buck. I hunt off a golf course out in eastern Long Island, NY between the beach and the pine barrens. Was looking to arrow a doe I had been watching for about 40 minutes when she led him right into my ambush copse of woods. I had him on my trail cameras for years, but this was the first time I saw him in the daytime. 30 mph wind gusts that day, but thankfully I got the job done with a double lung. He ran about 70 yards. If you look closely, you’ll see he’s missing his back right hoof and also had a stiff right elbow – car struck? Also his left side was all junkie. Nice old boy with plenty of character. Due to the high winds, I initially just missed him with my Rage about 25 yards, but he came in and I nailed him at about 10 with the old Montec G5. RIP Clubber Buck
