But what exactly is in that overlap in the venn diagram? There must be some comics out there for dirty commies like me right? All i’ve ever wanted is to be represented in a comic book, right?

So a quick check in with our silicon valley overlords and guardians of the hall of records shows that the top google image search result for “communist comic books” is this 1957 entry Is This Tomorrow? America under Communism.

And you know it must be great if its the number one ranked search result on the worlds biggest search engine, run by technocrats with unfathomable levels of poltical power and annual turnovers comparable to a small african nation, well not Chad, Quick side note on chad – stop copying romania and get a new flag mate

So how exactky do the communists come to power? What is the sequence of events that leads to the the American people seeing the light? I’ve got my notepad ready, hit me. What is that first step towards the glorious revolution?

Cause a drought? Unless the soiviets had access to haarp weapons in the 50s that kinda sorta sounds like an act of god to me…. w/e Theres a doiught, plague of locusts, pestilence and eventually starvation. So far, hypothetically this all checks out. Theres a food shortage and the capitalists aren’t able to meet the demand for food. And then in steps this guy, leader of the communists Jones. He beard and glasses are clearly supposed to invoke Lenin in your mind but to me this guy seems way more bioenginner six legged beakless chicken capitalist icon: Colenel Sanders.

Jones rolls in and hes like “this country will be communist in a year” our plan has two simple steps touch off a crisis and take advantage of the highly unlikely act of god level drought and seize control of the food supply. Which makes sense, whoever controls the food distrubution network kinda controls the country.

First of all start a front to oppose facism or intolerance or something else that is unpopular and get a few big names to back them. Senators, celebrities, public speakers everyone. Pull what strings you have in the media to spread the message that we’re cracking down on intolerance.

Then you get your boys to infiltrate various clubs and subtly spread division amoungst it ranks.

Next you take control of the unions. So that at any given moment we can paralyze industry and shut down the economy. But how do we take over the unions? Do we use bribery tactics? Blackmail? Don’t worry its far easier to do than this. All you have to do is drag out union meetings sooooo long that everybody else goes home and only us communists remain to vote on the proceedings. Kinda like a fillibuster where Senators are able to delay and or kill motions in the senate, on often live changing bills, by just constantly fucking talking till everyone else gives up.

I’ve never understood why Americans are so anti union, but after reading Is this Tomorrow its become clear that some fuckery has been going on here to link the idea of normal hardworking people coming together to demand better working conditions with communism.

Rather than solving any of these problems, like you know paying people a decent living wage for their services to society, whether thats working in a factory builidng weapons for the military industrial complex, being a barrista in a coffee shop or flipping burgers at mcdonalds… pay people enough to live on for fuck sake. But na dont take advantage of our position in government to argue for better lets just let these two camps fight each other. As long as their attention is focused one achother nobody will notice that we, the political class have teamed up with the evil mega corps to double team the american people.
