Max is meticulous in his research; its rumored that each episode can take up to 60 plus hours to produce, however, his hard work and flare for his craft has garnered him over ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!! Max Miller is the creator and host of the viral digital series, “Tasting History with Max Miller” on YouTube. The channel has amassed over 1M+ subscribers since its inception, and garnered over 68M views from what was originally thought of as a passion project during the pandemic.
Prior to his YouTube Stardom, Max was an employee of the Walt Disney Studios in the Marketing and Film Distribution departments. When the citywide stay-at-home order went into effect in Los Angeles, Max was furloughed and suddenly hit with a glut of free time. He began turning his passion for historic dishes into a self-taped video series.
Within weeks of his first video going live on YouTube, Max’s channel and videos were reaching hundreds upon thousands of viewers who wanted to learn more about historic dishes such as Garum, an ancient Roman condiment. The video quickly amassed over 2.2M views and the rest, as they say, is history.
Max’s channel has been covered in outlets like America’s Test Kitchen, ABC’s Localish, Chowhound, Foodsided, GLAAD, KTLA Morning News, Mythical Kitchen’s A Hot Dog is a Sandwich podcast, PopCulture.com, The Rachael Ray Show, Today.com, UPROXX and Yahoo! In addition, Max has been featured bi-monthly on Arizona Midday, highlighting new episodes of “Tasting History” in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ.
Max has had the opportunity to collaborate with many notable brands and organizations such as SEGA: Total War, Hello Fresh, Audible, Bright Cellars, Porter Road, Great Courses, and the recently released Feature Film “The Kings Man” starring Ralph Fiennes, Djimon Hounsou, Gemma Arterton, and Rhys Ifans.
In 2023, Max’s first book, based on his his YouTube series, will be published by Simon Element of Simon & Schuster.
Max currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his husband, José, and their two cats, Cersei and Jaime.
