After a spaceflight to Ylum (where their requests for asylum were resoundingly rejected), Js Earls & Mike Baron are back to interview the gifted JOE CASEY — a writer/producer/content creator whose career in comic books, television & feature films has spanned more than two decades. Along with lengthy stints writing Superman, the X-Men, the Avengers, Iron Man, GI Joe & many others, Joe is the creator of Marvel’s America Chavez (from Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness).
Joe is a founding partner of Man of Action (MOA) Entertainment, the writers’ collective behind pop culture’s largest franchise characters as well as original characters published by their MOA imprint at Image Comics. Their creations include Ben 10, the $6 billion boys’ action franchise & Generator Rex, both for Cartoon Network. MOA previously launched Disney XD’s Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man & Marvel’s Avengers Assemble. MOA also created the characters & team Big Hero 6, featured in Disney/Marvel’s Academy Award®-winning feature, the first comic book IP to win for Best Animated Feature.
Joe is also known for his Eisner Award-nominated cosmic superhero epic, Gødland. His critically-acclaimed runs on series such as Wildcats & Automatic Kafka landed on numerous “best of the decade” lists. His genre-busting cult-favorites Officer Downe & Butcher Baker the Righteous Maker helped propel him onto MTV.com’s list of the 10 best writers. Yeah, this episode of The Baron Earls Show is gonna be a blast!
