With their young adult graphic novel deals at IDW gone, Marvel has been pushing for a slate of YA books with Scholastic. Instead of selling to children Captain America and Iron Man, they are putting their non-white male characters as lead characters in these books instead. Will this move help Marvel sell more of their non-white male characters down the road? Or will children reveal their ‘racist’ side by asking for Steve Rogers and Peter Parker instead?
