Many issues come up, but the simplest and most important one is hiring experienced people for projects vs. inexperienced people. I always recommend to new publishers to hire people who have a reputation for delivering the kind of work you are looking for unless they really have lots of extra time to work with new talent like we did in my comic book studio.
