Disney knows “The Marvels” will bomb next week and to head off the media they’ve cooperated (apparently) with a critical Variety article of their struggling Marvel Studios division. You can tell this is not an independent article because it doesn’t mention how Disney decided they needed to take their “boys” franchise Marvel, and turn it into a “girls” and “diverse” franchise instead. As predicted by now former Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter, the shift has been a financial and creative disaster.
